Challenge

The intermediate ceiling of Wien City Ship Station experienced repeated water intrusion, causing structural damage. After renovation, the requirement was to detect potential new moisture events early and verify the long-term success of the repair work.

Solution

Installation of 4 custom-built smartenic Sense sensors at critical points in the intermediate ceiling. Each sensor was individually adapted to the structural conditions (custom build). The sensors continuously measure moisture levels and immediately trigger an alarm when defined thresholds are exceeded. All measurement data is stored long-term to permanently document the post-renovation condition.

Results

Early warning system detects water intrusion before visible damage occurs
Complete long-term documentation of renovation success
4 individually adapted sensors for optimal positioning
