SMARTENIC Vision Outdoor

Yes, that is what the range is built for. The SMARTENIC Vision Outdoor is a wall model and is fixed directly to a facade, a wall or a sub-structure. You need a load-bearing substrate, a power supply run to the mounting point and network connectivity over Wi-Fi or mobile. On leased premises and listed facades the owner also has to sign off on it.

IP65 is a protection rating under the IEC 60529 standard. The first digit, 6, means fully dust-tight. The second digit, 5, means protection against water jets from any direction. An IP65 display therefore withstands rain, snow and a cleaning jet, and is built for permanent outdoor operation. The SMARTENIC Vision Outdoor is specified at IP65.

At least 2,500 nits is recommended outdoors, and more if the sun hits the screen surface directly. For context: ordinary indoor displays run at roughly 300 to 500 nits and are effectively unreadable outdoors during the day. The SMARTENIC Vision Outdoor delivers 2,500 nits. It also matters that brightness is dimmed automatically at night.

In Central Europe, yes. Without temperature control, condensation forms inside the enclosure in the cold and liquid crystals respond sluggishly in frost. Our outdoor displays are rated for -30 to +50 degrees Celsius and have integrated heating that switches on automatically at low temperatures, plus active cooling for summer heat.

Touch is available as an option on the SMARTENIC Vision Outdoor. It makes sense wherever people stop anyway: at a driveway, outside a branch after opening hours, or at a self-service point. Where the screen is only played to and never operated, the non-touch version is enough — one less surface that can get dirty.
